Northstep

Privacy, in plain words

Last updated October 28, 2026. Northstep is in early access.

What you enter

Your name, email and password; your company ladder and level; the numbers you choose to enter toward your next level; your daily targets; the people on your list with the details you add (name, phone, email, how you know them, notes, next steps, and optionally a birthday or anniversary as month and day); activity you log; lessons you finish; drafts and approvals you track; and files you add to your library.

What Northstep never keeps

Social Security numbers, health information, policy details, or bank or card numbers. Northstep refuses common formats of these numbers if they're typed into notes or AI requests. Contact files are read only for names, phone numbers and emails; everything else in the file is ignored.

Who can see what

Your prospects, notes, materials, income goal and private files are visible only to you. If you join a team, your leader sees your level, your progress toward the next level, your activity counts and the lessons you've finished. Nothing else. Team challenges show your activity count to teammates only if you choose to join the board. You can leave a team at any time and keep everything you entered.

AI features

When you use AI drafts or practice conversations, only what you type for that request is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to write the reply. Your prospects and other data are never sent. Practice conversations aren't saved.

Where it's stored

Your information is stored with our hosting provider, Render, in the United States, and files in your library with Cloudflare. Connections are encrypted. Northstep doesn't sell your information or use it for advertising.

Messages

Northstep sends email only for things like resetting your password. It never messages your contacts.
